General Conference Speakers
Archbishop Charles J. Chaput joined the Order of Friars Minor Capuchin, St. Augustine Province, in 1965.
He was ordained to the priesthood in 1970. He has a BA in Philosophy, an MA in Religious Education and a MA in Theology.
Archbishop Chaput was ordained Bishop of Rapid City, South Dakota, in 1988 and Archbishop of Denver in 1997. He recently became Archbishop of Philadelphia in September 2011.
In 1999, building on the efforts of his predecessor in Denver, Archbishop Chaput founded St. John Vianney Theological Seminary, and ordained 71 men for the Archdiocese of Denver.
In 2002, assisted by his Auxiliary Bishop José Gomez, Archbishop Chaput founded Centro San Juan Diego in response to the pastoral and educational needs of the growing Hispanic community in Colorado. He later co-founded the national Catholic Association of Latino Leaders (CALL) and helped in the founding of ENDOW, a leadership initiative of Catholic women to “Educate on the Nature and Dignity of Women.” He was also instrumental in creating the Denver-based Augustine Institute, an independent, lay-run graduate school for the formation of lay Catholic leaders, catechists and evangelizers.
He is author of two books: Living the Catholic Faith: Rediscovering the Basics and Render Unto Caesar: Serving the Nation by Living Our Catholic Beliefs in Political Life; and numerous talks, articles and pastoral letters, all of which are available at www.archden.org/archbishop. |

Dave de la Fuente is a leader in the Alliance of Filipino Catholic Charismatic Communities. He is currently working on a Masters in Theological Studies at Boston College.
He participated in campus ministry at Fordham University for four years where his responsibilities included Retreat Ministry, Christian Life Community Leader and Liturgical Ministry.
As a teenager Dave served with Bukas Look Sa Diyos Youth Ministry in Newark, NJ. He has adapted and developed Youth Ministry teachings on prayer, praise and worship, spiritual warfare and apologetics. |

Bishop Sam Jacobs was ordained to the priesthood in 1964 and consecrated the tenth Bishop of the Diocese of Alexandria, Louisiana in 1989. In 2003 he became the third Bishop of Houma-Thibodeaux, also in Louisiana. Before being made bishop, he served in a number of positions including associate pastor, chaplain, Director of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal, and Director of Vocations. He became a member of the National Service Committee in 1982 and Chairman in 1987 and served until his resignation in 1993. He is currently one of the Episcopal Consultants to the NSC.
On the National level he has served and or chaired a number of USCCB committees. For many years he was the Chairman of the Ad Hoc Committee on the Catholic Charismatic Renewal no longer in existence. He is a frequent and inspirational conference speaker. |

| Fr. James Kelly was born in Ireland and ordained to the priesthod in 1977. For the last 29 years he has serve in Maracaibo, Venezuela. He is presently the Spiritual Director of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal in the Diocese of Maracaibo as well as for the Renewal in Venezuela, exercising a ministry of prayer and healing for the sick. | Msgr. Joseph Malagreca is a priest of the Dioceseof Brooklyn in New York. He is the pastor of the parish of Holy Cross in Brooklyn. Besides coordinating the Charismatic Renewali n his Diocese, he is the Spiritual Director for both the Hispanic and Haitian National Committees. |

| Michelle Moran together with her husband Peter is a founder member of Sion Catholic Community for Evangelism in England. She is Chair of the NSC for Catholic Charismatic Rnewal in England and Wales and President of ICCRS, the International Council for Renewal in Rome. In 2007, she was appointed by to the Pontifical Council of Laity. |

| Mark Nimo comes from Ghana in West Africa. He had a profound conversion experience at the age of twenty through the Catholic Charismatic Renewal. His passion for the Lord took him to Uganda, East Africa where he served as a lay missionary for two years. For ten years, he served as the ICCRS representative for Anglophone Africa. He has ministered in over 35 countries. Since 2005 Mark has been in Chicago pursuing graduate studies, and working in two parishes. He and his wife have 3 children |

NSC Session Speakers
Jim Archer has been involved in the Catholic Charismatic Renewal since 1975 when he was baptized in the Holy Spirit. Jim’s life was forever changed that day as the unconditional love of God was poured into his heart. Jim has served the Lord since out of gratitude in what he refers to as, “His heart Ministries” (formed by the heart of God to present His Heart!). Presently he is a member of the Pastoral Service Team for the renewal in West Virginia. He was on the NSC Council from March 2008 until he was elected to the National Service Committee in January 2011.
Jim was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and moved his family to West Virginia in 1991 accepting a position with the Grumman Aerospace Corporation as Plant Manager of their newly constructed assembly plant. He is presently unemployed due to downsizing. He lives with his son Andrew in Bridgeport and they are members of All Saints parish. |

Rev. Robert (Bob) Hogan, BBD is one of the founding members of a new charismatic and Marian religious community called The Brothers of the Beloved Disciple. He was formerly a member of the Society of Mary. He holds a Master of Divinity, an MA in Theology and did doctoral studies in Marian Theology.
He became involved in the Catholic Charismatic Renewal in,1970 while in high school. He was ordained to the priesthood in 1983.
He was Archdiocesan Liaison for the Catholic Charismatic Renewal in Cincinnati from 1989-1996. From 2000-2006 he served as Pastor of St. Mary Magdelen Church in San Antonio.
He still helps at the parish, but his main ministry is at the Catholic Center for Charismatic Renewal in San Antonio where he is the Coordinator of Teaching and Outreach.
He was elected to the National Service Committee in 207 and re-elected in 2010. In 2011 he was elected Chairman of the NSC. |

Walter Matthews has been Executive Director for the National Service Committee of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal of the United States since January 1993. He began working for the National Service Committee as Associate Director in May 1984. He has been involved in the Catholic Charismatic Renewal since January 1972 and has served in various leadership positions in the Renewal for over 35 years.
In April 1990 Pope John Paul II appointed Matthews to a five-year term as a member of the Pontifical Council for the Laity. The department is at the direct service of the Pope. His term, which had been extended one year, ended in April 1996. He has also served as an Advisor to the U.S. Bishops’ Committee on the Laity.
He is a native of New York City and is married to the former Claire Casey. The Matthews have three adult children and live in Locust Grove, Virginia. |

Fr. Michael Scanlan, T.O.R. graduated from Harvard Law School in 1956. and then in 1957, Scanlan entered the Franciscan Third Order Regular. he was ordained to the priesthood in 1964. He served as acting dean of the College of Steubenville and as a lecturer in theology from 1964-1966, and from 1966-69, as dean of the General Honors Program. He accepted the office of president of the College of Steubenville in 1974, a position he held until 2000, when he was named Franciscan University’s first chancellor.
In addition to this duties as University chancellor, Father Scanlan was president of FIRE (A Catholic Alliance for Faith, Intercession, Repentance, and Evangelism), and a member of the Board for the Christian Film and Television Commission, Campaign for America National Committee, the Advisory Board for the Institute on Religious Life, and the Board of Directors of Renewal Ministries.
Fr. Scanlan has published numerous articles in religious periodicals and over 16 books and booklets, including Let the Fire Fall and the best-selling What Does God Want? He has also spoken at numerous national and international conferences and frequently leads pilgrimages and retreats throughout the world.
He was a member of the Natinal Service Committee from 1975 to 1978. |
