DAY OF TEACHING AND MINISTRY SPONSORED BY THE NSC
This Day would usually take place on a Saturday within a 9 AM – 4 PM/5PM time frame. Mass at the end of the Day would be determined by the availability of a priest and local custom.
It would be the local responsibility to decide whether to have the Day available for all or more focused on those who serve in various ministries, core groups and leaders’ teams. In this second case, the NSC would encourage you to include invitations to younger leaders, ethnic leaders, those in diverse charismatic ministries and those involved in youth ministry in the power of the Spirit to attend.
The National Service Committee would bring in either a member of the NSC or the NSC Council, to provide the content of the Day of Teaching and Ministry.
Presentations can be made in the same areas as RLGs, for example:
- Vision for the Catholic Charismatic Renewal
- Working together as leaders
- Call to holiness
- Stirring up and pastoring spiritual gifts
- Worship
The Renewal in your (Arch) Diocese would need to cover the travel, housing and meals for the NSC or NSC Council Speaker plus allow the NSC to take a collection, and make an invitation about becoming a Fanning the Flame Partner.
If you want to schedule such a Day of Teaching and Ministry you will need to propose a date.
