HONORINGS
As the Catholic Charismatic Renewal continues worldwide as an ecclesial movement of renewal and evangelization, the National Service Committee of the U.S., of which you were a founding member (1970-1975), honors and thanks you for your faithfulness to your call and for your service to the Church and to the Renewal nationally and internationally.
As founding Editor of New Covenant, and through your many publications, as well as through your leadership of Renewal Ministries and its outreaches such as The Choices We Face and work in Eastern Europe and Africa you have sought to proclaim the Gospel and the power of the Holy Spirit clearly and with great joy and zeal.
You have taught truth amidst opposition and you have been a prophetic voice calling us
to recognize the brokenness of the body of Christ and the need for the renewal of the
Church in the present day.
Above all you have led us to hunger for God in our prayer and to find in Him the fulfillment of all desire.
May the Lord Jesus Christ continue to bless you and your family.
Ad multos annos.
.
In celebration of your fifty-five years of faithfulness as a Sister, Servant of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, the Catholic Charismatic Renewal in the U.S., gives thanks for your life, ministry and leadership.
As the Director of the Catholic Charismatic Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico your gracefulness, patience, good humor and infectious smile have witnessed to all of us how to be led by the Holy Spirit and to bear good fruit.
We thank you especially for your leadership on the national level for over twenty five years: including as a member of the National Service Committee for eleven years (1990 – 2001). You have served in many ways, none more important than your long involvement with Pentecost Today: first as a founding member in 1991 of the Editorial Board, then as Chairman for seven years (1994 – 2001) and for the last five as Editor. You have brought your wisdom and clear teaching ability to serve the Renewal in this way.
May the heart of Mary and the wings of the Holy Spirit continue to lead and guide you.
In celebration of the fiftieth anniversary of your profession as a Franciscan, the Catholic Charismatic Renewal in the U.S. thanks you for your faithfulness to the Lord Jesus Christ, the Church, your religious vocation and this Renewal.
Your early leadership in the Renewal and service on the National Service Committee – including service as Chairman (1975 – 1978) did much to ensure that this Renewal would grow on solid ground.
Your step of faith and obedience in accepting the Presidency of the then College of Steubenville, and your vision of a campus and university enlivened by the Holy Spirit and faithful to the Magisterium have inspired and challenged many not only in the Renewal but in the wider Church.
You once proclaimed in truly prophetic voice that “the lion roars” – we see in your whole life and ministry the embodiment of those words.
May St. Francis, himself filled with the Holy Spirit, continue to be your companion and guide in the days to come.
In recognition of your 25 years of service to Catholic Charismatic Renewal at the national level, we honor you.
You have given of yourself in a multitude of ways as a devoted servant of Jesus Christ.
In addition to your excellent administration of Chariscenterfirst as Assistant Executive Director, then as Executive Director for the National Service Committee, you have served the Church:
For a three year term in an advisory position to the United States Council of Catholic Bishops,
On the planning committee for World Youth Day with the Holy Father in Denver.
In the area of ecumenism you served on the planning committee for a NARSC convention.
You have spoken at numerous conferences that involve various cultural groups.
During the turnover of the various persons on the NSC you have provided a thread of history.
You have served the Renewal in numerous ways, many of which most of us will never be aware.
Today We say, “Thank you!” and we want you to know that we appreciate you.
