REGIONAL LEADERS' GATHERINGS

These are generally weekend events reaching out to leaders of the Renewal in several (Arch) Dioceses in your area.

Leaders we will invite include diocesan liaisons, renewal center directors, covenant community leaders, ministries with trans-diocesan influence, ethnic leaders, former NSC members and current members of the NSC Council. We will ask them to extend the invitation to all the prayer groups, community and ethnic leaders and potential leaders in their (Arch) Diocese including those involved in ministries such as healing, praise, music etc. recognized by the above and invited by them.

The purpose of the Regional Leaders' Gatherings is to strengthen leaders in the Catholic Charismatic Renewal by building relationships with attending leaders from within a smaller geographic area, encouraging their networking with the NSC and one another, and by appropriate teaching and ministry.

The Regional Leaders' Gathering will focus on the following:

• Vision of the Renewal/and of the Renewal vis à vis the Church;
• Mission or key elements of the Charismatic Renewal: baptism in the Holy Spirit, charisms, community, praise and worship;
• Call to holiness and deeper prayer (Novo Millennio Ineunte);
• A time of ministry for those attending;
• A time of listening to what the Lord is doing locally in plenary sessions or small groups;
• A time to share the vision/mission of the NSC and an open "microphone" time to answer questions about it or other matters.
The National Service Committee would commit to being present with two members. We would structure the registration fee to cover the costs of our attendance and out of pocket costs as well as your administration of the Gathering. Any overage we propose be split between us, 50/50.

The NSC would like to take a collection, and make an invitation about becoming a Fanning the Flame Partner.

If you agree to collaborate, you will need to propose dates, a site, secure housing, etc. Once we have confirmed the NSC participation, we will do a mailing to regional leaders.
