Alliance of Filipino Catholic Charismatic Prayer Communities

In March 1996 the Alliance of Filipino Catholic Charismatic Prayer Communities was formed from a group of Filipino-American leaders who since 1986 had convened an annual Filipino-American Catholic Charismatic Renewal Conference. A Head Shepherd and Assistant Head Shepherd were elected, and Bob Canton of Stockton, California, was elected Overall Servant Coordinator.

Also elected were a number of other leaders as officers and regional coordinators. Subsequently other coordinators were added, as well as spiritual advisors.

Currently Fr. Ed Abano of New Jersey is the Head Shepherd and Fr. Leoncio Santiago of Chicago is the Assistant Head Shepherd.

The Alliance is publishing a newsletter, The Trumpet, and will convene its 13th national conference in 2005.
